App Updates

The desktop app checks for updates at startup and can apply full release installers or smaller patches when available.

Update Behavior

• Full releases install a new base version.
• Patches apply smaller changes between base versions.
• The app should keep the desktop token during updates.
• Release downloads come from the app delivery site.

If an update does not apply, download the latest release installer from the App Downloads page.
